A few important reminders as we begin the second semester! Report cards will go home with our students on Friday, Jan. 12th. Check out your child’s grades and if you have questions contact your child’s teacher. Our annual NAM Talent Show will be on Friday, Feb. 3rd starting at 6 pm. I hope you can join us!

Gamble Montessori High School
Gamble Montessori High School is holding its Open House on Wednesday, January 17th starting at 6 PM. This is a great opportunity to look at this school, their program and to meet the staff. Shadow opportunities are held on Tuesdays. Information on both of these are headed home with your 6th grade students.
Remember that the CPS High School online application period runs from February 20th until March 9th and the Gamble Montessori Open House is a great chance to explore one of your high school opportunities.

Spring 2018 North Avondale SAY Soccer Registration is open! Registration will be open through the end of January, but it’s best to sign up now, because teams can fill up fast! (You could go on a waitlist if the team is full.)

9 Ways to Get Your Child to School on Time
1. Lay out school clothes the night before.
2. Keep shoes/coats/book bags in one place.
3. Get your child to bed on time.
4. Get an alarm clock for your child.
5. Encourage your child to get herself ready.
6. Encourage your child to get herself ready.
7. Keep breakfast simple.
8. Prepare the night before. When your child is asleep, make lunches, put homework in backpacks, and check there’s enough milk in for the morning. Search through your child’s school bag for permission slips and school newsletters too.
9. Never plan to be on time. Plan to be everywhere 10-15 minutes early.
