News from the Media Center – Happy Spring! it is finally here! We will finish checking out books at the end of April. It generally takes most of May to collect all the books/library materials and get them organized for next year! If your child has had an outstanding book for awhile, (more than a month) please find and return or pay for the book asap. Book fines are paid in the library, not the office. This minimizes confusion/errors. Also, students often use a search engine called infohio in Media. Many students have asked how to access it at home. You will need the username: infocincy and the password: cincyreads. This is a valuable tool for all grade levels. Grades one and two have used it recently! Look it up! Julie Stallworth, teacher librarian.
Spirit Day Winners – Arriana Ellis, Jessie Branch, Mia Roemheld, Evan Highsmith, La’Mia Britton, Monei Ellison, Mia Ballard, Adam Johnson, Christopher Harten, Priyan Kinkle, London Lane, Robert Morris.
Mother’s Day Flower Sale. The Sale for the kids will be on Thursday, May 8th and Friday May 9th. As in recent years, teachers, staff, and parents are welcome to shop end of day on Friday. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS Thursday & Friday, all day. Sign up for your preferred shift on NAM’s Master Sign Up (www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0545A4A6229-namvolunteer) under “Flower Sale” or contact Flower Sale Chair Marty Olberding at marthaolberding@yahoo.com.
Open positions: LSDMC Parent Representative, PTO Vice President and PTO At-Large member. LSDMC (Local School Decision Making Committee) is the primary governing body for NAM. This committee meets once a month to offer input into important decisions that impact students’ lives and shape their educational experiences. The PTO Vice President assists the president in planning, volunteer support, and communications. No experience needed – the PTO team will teach you all we know, and the rest we can all learn together! If interested in serving in either capacity, please forward your name, along with a brief description of yourself and why you want to serve, to s.yarbsanker@gmail.com by Wednesday, April 23rd. ELECTIONS for both positions will be held Saturday, April 26th, 4-7 pm at the Fuel the Rockets Food Truck Competition.
