Please be aware of the new attendance policies implemented by the Ohio Department of Education. Students will be marked unexcused for vacations! Homework will not be assigned and time will not be provided to “makeup” the work.
If you are not on a school trip, absences are unexcused. Students that are ill must send a note when they return to school. If you have a question regarding this policy, please contact our Visiting Teacher, Ms. Gassett at 363-3956.
FALL FESTIVAL THANKS. PTO would like to thank Jenny Caffery, 2014 Fall Festival Chair, as well as our Room Parents and other volunteers who made this night happen. We had well over 100 volunteers, plus 20 NAM Grads! Grandparents’ Day is coming! Tell Grandparents to mark their calendars for Tuesday, November 25th 8:15-10:15! Sjen von Dienes-Oehm will be chairing this year’s Grandparents Day, but it takes many others to create a lovely event for our NAM Grandparents. We need help with flyers, announcements, food (parents provide), and managing Grandparent reservations. A Framework already exists, making these tasks EASY to do! Chronicle your child’s memories from this school year…play a part on our YEARBOOK COMMITTEE! This year marks our FIRST EVER yearbook. We want our yearbook to be representative of all NAM students, so join our team and help make it happen! Tasks will be divided among committee members. INDOOR RECESS MATERIALS NEEDED. With indoor recess now a reality, teachers need a variety of items to occupy our children indoors in an engaging way. To help, PTO is starting an Indoor Recess Activity Drive. So, while you are out Thrifting, shopping for sales, or just purging old toys & games in your house, please keep your eye out for the items below. If you find something to donate, please take a quick second to sign up at www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0545a4a6229-indoor to say you’ve got it – just so we won’t receive 100 Go Fish games or 75 Checker sets. Drop off all new or gently used items to the front office or bring them to any NAM event and hand it to a PTO leader.
