CONGRATS to our students for raising $200 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Thanks to our Student Council for organizing the Think Pink breast cancer fundraiser.
Ms. Dieckmann’s class and Mr. Flaspohler’s class combined turned in close to $70 of that total, so thank you very much to everyone for their support but especially those two classes with almost half of the total for the SCHOOL!

Did you know: Last year, NAM students and staff diverted 7,930 pounds of recyclable materials from the landfill?! Per capita, we are ranked 22nd  (out of 53) in participating CPS schools.  In addition, we collected 11,884 juice pouches and 281 Elmer’s glue sticks, which were recycled through Terracycle earning us $224.42 in cash for our school! Go Rockets!
For the month of November (and possibly beyond if it is successful), we are launching a new fundraising/recycling campaign—SHOES! More information to come in next week’s news, but you may start collecting those old, outgrown, unfashionable pairs of footwear now.  Thanks! INDOOR RECESS MATERIALS NEEDED.
Teachers need items to occupy our children in an engaging way during inside recess.
Please keep an eye out for the items below while you’re shopping or cleaning house.
If you find something to donate, please take a second to indicate so at
www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0545a4a6229-indoor –
just so we won’t receive too many of a particular item. Drop off all new or gently used items
to the front office or bring them to any NAM event and hand it to a PTO leader.
Items will be distributed to teachers based on their classroom’s needs.
Check back often for updates to the list. Thanks for helping the NAM Community! –
Your PTO leaders: Shannon Sanker, Jennifer Ballard, Jen Underhill, Angie Dangerfield, Lindsay Hand.
