Still In Need of Room Parents

We are doing great so far, but still have a ways to go!! We are still in need of room parents for the following classrooms:
Connolly, Mason, A. Wagner, Burckard-Dewey, DiMarco, Flaspohler, Goss, Milligan, Shockley-Matthews, Smith, C. Wagner, Davis-Dewey, McClellan.

Dads and Doughnuts Tomorrow!

NAM Fathers Group invites you to the first Dads and Doughnuts event of the year!
Friday, September 9th from 7:15-7:45am at the NAM Gymnasium
Join in – Dads, other father figures (moms welcome too), come enjoy a tasty treat with your children before school starts.


Party in the Park Tomorrow!

Friday, September 9, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm

Please join North Avondale Neighborhood Association and Cincinnati Parks for a Party in the Park at Seasongood Square, located at the corner of Reading Road and Clinton Springs. The fun starts at 4pm. Bring the kids and let them burn off some energy in the bounce house. Live music with the Leroy Ellington Band (Funk, Rhythm and Blues) until 8pm. Children’ s Entertainment by Cincy Circus bounce house, face painting, food trucks.  See here for more info.

NAM Family Campout

It’s almost time for the annual Family Camping Trip, hosted by our NAM Fathers Group!
Sites are reserved for NAM families and become available at 12p. Register at the camp store when you arrive, and they’ll direct you to our sites. The fee is $7 per camper/$25 per family max. We’ll serve dinner, smores, and light breakfast. Please bring your tent and sleeping bag, as well as a potluck dish to share, snacks, and your own drinks/cups/water bottles.

It’s a great campsite with a lot to offer! We’ll have a nature hike planned, a canoe trip available, bike trail, as well as a campfire and a night hike. If you’re interested in canoeing on Saturday or Sunday, please email Dave Morrison (davemo@fuse.net), so he can make arrangements.

Walnut Hills Shadowing

Registration for the Walnut Hills High School Shadowing program will open on their website October 1, 2016. Shadowing details are available on the shadowing website.

–There will be 370 openings
–The openings will likely fill up before the end of the second registration day (10/2/2016)
–Once the 370 spots are filled, there will be a wait list upon request until they meet their limit. (No exceptions)
–Shadowing will take place Monday thru Thursday during school hours during the months of November, January and February
–Registration can only be done through their website, under the parent section
–The Shadow email (walnut@cps-k12.org) and voice-mail (513-363-8698) will be monitored a few days a week during the months of October-February. You cannot register here.

There’s still time to sign up for afterschool dance at NAMS!!!

Offering: Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre!

Students get to perform in the Spring Recital and school assembly!
CONVENIENCE & COST EFFECTIVENESS: we provide supervision between school and when your child’s dance class begins.

ALSO NEW THIS YEAR: we’re offering school holiday camps for in-service days, random school holidays, and snow closings. They will be at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center, 5 minutes away from NAMS. Check mlco.org/classes for more info.
