Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Monday, September 29, 2014, I cordially invite you to attend our annual Open House at North Avondale Montessori School. Open House will begin at 6:00 PM and will promptly end at 7:00 PM.

Beginning at 6:00 PM parents/guardians from all grade levels will meet in the cafetorium for a brief meeting. Our general meeting will conclude at approximately 6:05 PM, with parents/guardians and students departing from the cafetorium to your child’s classroom. In the classroom you will meet your child’s teacher, see examples of your child’s work, and your child may demonstrate Montessori materials. Parents/Guardians please remember the purpose of the Open House is for you to meet your child’s teacher and learn about the instructional day. The teacher will not discuss individual progress at this time. However, the teacher will have a conference sign up sheet available if you wish to make an appointment to discuss your student’s progress.

Due to the amount of time involved meeting with the parent/guardian for a parent/teacher conference, please directly contact your child’s teacher to schedule an appointment. Appointments are on a first-come- first-serve basis. Also your child’s teacher may contact you to schedule a conference. This is a constant process where open communication benefits the child. Our first Parent-Teacher Conference Night is scheduled for Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 4 PM to 7 PM.

I hope you will attend Open House and schedule a conference to discuss your child’s progress. You are a major link to your child’s success and we value your opinion, input, and the opportunity to meet with you. By all of us working together, I am confident we will provide your child with the best education and art experience possible!

Free/reduced lunch applications must be renewed every year in order to continue lunch discount. If you are currently receiving free/reduced lunch and have not renewed your application, the deadline for renewal will be Sept 30th.
