The NAM Penny War returns for six days, beginning next Monday, March 11th and continuing through Monday, March 18th. Our classrooms will compete by age group to see which class can bring in the greatest weight and the greatest value of coins (bills count too). The six winning classes will earn a popcorn or ice cream party! (Please see

All proceeds benefit NAM Foundation, which provides financial support for PTSO, classroom materials, and early literacy intervention in grades K-2.

On Thursday March 7th, 2019, our NAM Brain Bowl Team will play at Spencer.

Kroger Community Rewards Drawing

Congratulations to Emanuel T. and his family for winning the $50 Kroger Gift Card. Thank you to everyone who registered for North Avondale Montessori to be added to their Kroger Plus Card.

The NAM PBIS Committee sponsors an honorary Principal’s Breakfast each month. Teachers recognize one student from each class who has shown positive qualities in the classroom such as effort, improvement, and leadership. Mr. Lewis Principal, and Gwen Griffiths, Behavior Support Specialist, speak with the students and present students with a certificate as well as has having breakfast. (Please see the attached flier for the selections for the month of February)

Transition Request Form

If your child will be transitioning from kindergarten to grade 1 or from grade 3 to grade 4 please complete the transition request form and return it to the main office by Thursday, April 4, 2019 by 3 PM no forms will be excepted after the 3 PM deadline. Forms are also available on Schoology and attached to the weekly rocket below.

Safety Patrol

Congratulations to the new students that have been selected to Safety Patrol and to those that have been promoted. (Please see the attached list below)

 

Online Issue

Cincinnati Public Schools has received calls from concerned parents about a online challenge. Please read the attached document and contact the main office at 513-363-3900 if you need additional support.

Student Council

Student council is sponsoring a pencil drive March 11th through March 20th to donate to the Upspring Foundation. The Upspring Foundation is an organization that assists students experiencing homelessness with obtaining basic school supplies. All pencils donated will be given to the foundation to help the over 600 students in our district that are currently being served through Upspring. Calla K, a 3rd grade student in Ms. Watson’s room approached student council with this amazing humanitarian effort.
